Amazing Concert! Mediocre venue
I've seen The Fantasticks perform three times now, and each time they exceed my expectations. Their performances are top-notch and they are definitely my favorite band. The general admission tickets I had were fantastic with a great view and fantastic theatrics.
Despite my appreciation for The Fantasticks, I must admit that I do not enjoy TD Garden as a venue. Their strict drinking policy, requiring multiple forms of ID for those aged 25-30 and from out of state, was a major downside. It was frustrating not being able to relax with a beer before the concert, especially when surrounded by underage-looking drunk individuals and the strong smell of marijuana in the air. The bouncers' priorities seemed misplaced, focusing on age restrictions for alcohol but turning a blind eye to drug use.
Furthermore, the handling of paperless tickets by TD Garden was a disaster. Despite purchasing my tickets well in advance, the confusion and delays at the venue caused me to miss the opening act. It took over an hour to navigate the paperless ticket process, which was poorly managed and led to unnecessary stress.
